Beautifully done movie.Very sad,lots of history.Since it was made quite some time ago,some of the coloring was not real good.
The story line was at times a little difficult to follow.Overall it gave a good impression of the horrid times these males lived in.The empress lamented that ,had she and her son been born commoners they could have been closer.The eunuchs lamented that had they been born in a higher class they could have been happier.
The movie was very poignant in pointing these things out.Some scenes were very graphic ,but then again,these were the times.

I have become a Big Fan
I have become a big fan of asian dramas, especially the historic dramas. Watching several of them tell there verision of history keeps me coming back for more. The beauty of the photography,the detail to set design all hook the golden ring I call my attention span
