Not exactly like the book, but still well worth watching.
I read "Tiger Eyes" at least twenty times while I was growing up. It is one of my favorite books. When I heard that they had finally made it into a movie, I was so excited. The movie script sticks the story line pretty closely with a few exceptions. The character of Wolf was given more focus in the movie version. I don't recall it being quite a romantic relationship in the book. However, I liked that he was made more of a central role in the movie. I was always sad that in the book, he just leaves without a real goodbye. In the movie, there is more closure. I do wish that the movie would have focused on Davey's other relationships more particularly with Jane. Also, Davey's mother also had more of a story in the book that I feel would have been great to see on screen. I am probably being too critical because the book is one that even now, as an adult I still love. All in all, I think that fans of the book will be very satisfied with the movie. Here's hoping that more Judy Blume books...
